S.O.B. Draw is a 2.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Crawford, Colorado that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and camping. Length 2.1 mi Elevation gain 1866 ft Route type Out & back, S.O.B Draw is the recommend introductory hike to the North Rim inner-canyon routes. The unmaintained trail (really a choose-your-adventure scramble down into oblivion) is known for lots of poison ivy and a daunting descent on aggressive terrain.
Length: 3.5 miles roundtrip. Time: 4.5 hours. Weather: about 75 degrees, sunny. This hike is on the North Rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The route for S.O.B. Draw starts near the North Rim campground, and drops 1,800 feet down to the Gunnison River, in about 1.75 miles.
